Holiday Lights, Garvan Woodland Gardens' annual outdoor light display, includes live concerts throughout November and December.

Gates open at 3 p.m., and the garden is open from 5-9:00 p.m. daily through Dec. 31, except for Thanksgiving and Christmas days.

The botanical garden is aglow with nearly 5 million lights in a myriad of natural settings, according to a news release. "Features include the luminescent Garden of the Pine Wind, the 50-foot tall Holiday Tree which plays holiday tunes animated to a light show, the Parterre garden on the Great Lawn, and traditional holiday scenes in the woodlands. Conclude your walking tour with free hot chocolate. The Chipmunk Café is open nightly until 9 p.m. serving soups, sandwiches, and snacks," the release said.

Check the garden's website, http://www.garvangardens.org, for free concerts and events during the six-week event.

Members are admitted at no charge with a current membership card. The cost is $15 for adults, $5 for children 4-12 years old, and free for children up to 3 years old. A golf cart tour is available for an extra $15 per person.
