ARKADELPHIA -- The Ouachita Baptist University Chamber Ensembles will present a concert at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday in McBeth Recital Hall, located in the Mabee Fine Arts Building on Ouachita's campus. Admission to the concert is free.

The concert will include chamber groups from the Ouachita Wind Ensemble featuring a variety of brass and woodwind chamber ensembles.

"It's enjoyable music," said Craig Hamilton, Lena Goodwin Trimble Professor of Music and director of bands at Ouachita. "It's fun to play and fun to listen to. I think the audience will enjoy experiencing the variety of instrumental combinations and great music they probably have never heard."

The music selection spans the years 1597 to 2000, including: Canzon septimi toni No. 2, by Giovanni Gabrieli, Harmonie in F, Opus 83, by Franz Krommer, "The Duke of Marlborough Fanfare," by Percy Grainger and edited by Donald Hunsberger and "Old Wine in New Bottles," by Gordon Jacob.

Call Ouachita's School of Fine Arts at 870-245-5129 for more information.
