CONWAY -- Emma Crowe and Audrey Simons earned the high point awards for their divisions on Saturday to lead the Hot Springs Family YMCA Seals swim team in the 55th annual Aquakids Bob Courtway Swim Meet.
The event was hosted by the Aquakids swim team at the Hendrix College Aquatic Center. The meet was sanctioned by USA Swimming through Arkansas Swimming.
Crowe took first place in the division for girls ages 11-12 in the 50-yard backstroke, 100-yard backstroke, 50-yard breaststroke, 100-yard breaststroke and the 100-yard freestyle. She also placed third in the 200-yard breaststroke and 200-yard freestyle in addition to a fourth-place finish in the 200-yard backstroke.
Nicole Burek took third place in the 100-yard breaststroke in the girls' open division. She also placed sixth in the 200-yard individual medley and seventh in the 100-yard freestyle.
Burek and Crowe swam with Emma Campas and Claire Hudnell to fourth place in the 200-yard freestyle relay.
Simons won first place in the 50-yard butterfly, 100-yard butterfly and 100-yard freestyle in the division for girls ages 10 and younger. She also placed second in the 100-yard backstroke and fourth in the 50-yard breaststroke.
Aubrek Schmitt won the 50-yard breaststroke in the same division. She previously won the high point award in the Colonel Robert Smothers Memorial Invitational in September in Bryant. She placed second in the 100-yard breaststroke on Saturday and fifth in the 50-yard butterfly, 100-yard backstroke and 100-yard freestyle.
Lily Cook earned third place in the same division in the 50-yard breaststroke. She swam to fourth place in the 100-yard breaststroke and eighth in the 100-yard freestyle.
Simons, Schmitt, Cook and Lily Shields took eighth place in the 200-yard freestyle relay.
