The public is welcome to create handmade vintage inspired ornaments at the upcoming "Fun at the Fairgrounds" workshop on Nov. 2 from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in the EHC Educational Building at the Garland County Fairgrounds.
During the workshop, which is sponsored and under the direction of Lakeside EHC, participants will create six to eight ornaments including folded fabric stars, Finnish paper stars, wire/bead angels and can Santas.
The fee is $6, payable by check at the Garland County Extension Office, 236 Woodbine St. Call 623-6841 for more information. Space is limited to 20 participants, and the registration deadline is Oct. 31.
Bring scissors for paper/fabric and wire cutters, if possible. All other supplies, refreshments and a door prize are included in the fee.
