Singer-songwriter Amanda Fish to appear in concert at Big Chill

Singer-songwriter Amanda Fish will be appearing in concert at 7 p.m. Thursday at the Big Chill, 910 Higdon Ferry Road, as part of the 3rd Thursday Concert Series, presented by Side Hustle Productions.

The concert is sponsored in part by The Big Chill, Prince & Tuohey, CPA, KUHS Community Radio shows The Mojo Box and KUHS Outlaw Country's Lost Highway Radio Show. Tickets for the show are $10 at the door and $15 for reserved seating.

Fish began her musical career in late 2012, refining her original material as a solo act for two years before she formed her band in early 2014, a roots rock and soul project that features her signature "from-the-gut" vocals locked into a sturdy groove, a news release said.

In 2015, she released her first LP, "Down In The Dirt" on the VizzTone Label Group. For her efforts, Fish was awarded the 2016 "Sean Costello Rising Star" Blues Blast Music Award. Fish and her band set Beale Street on fire in the 2017 International Blues Challenge Semi-Finals, playing new material slated for her next release.

In 2018, Fish released her sophomore studio album, "Free," also on the VizzTone Label group. The album debuted at No. 6 on the Billboard Blues Album Chart and has received critical acclaim.

Ethan "Lil' Skinny" Kuntz will open the show. All proceeds from the show will go to the Unknown Legends Musicians Relief Fund, a nonprofit for Arkansas based musicians without health care or insurance. Call David Hughes at 850-774-2270 for more information.
