Wolves get back on track

in rain-shortened match

GLENWOOD -- Inclement weather prevented Lake Hamilton from competing in a full 18-hole match Thursday with Prescott and Sheridan at the Glenwood Country Club, but the Wolves were able to get in some work on the course.

"We were able to get in nine holes with Prescott," said Lake Hamilton golf coach Brandi Higginbotham. "We were scheduled for 18, but got nine in before the rain. Sheridan had to back out. Prescott did not have enough players to count for team score, so only individual scores were counted."

Prescott's Tyler Doucet medaled in the boys' competition. Lake Hamilton senior Caleb Dodd followed with a 39.

"Caleb Dodd got back in his groove shooting a much better score today than the last couple of weeks," Higginbotham said.

Prescott's Dalton Kenworthy was third with a round of 41. Josh Parish and Cade Robinson followed in the individual scores with rounds of 46 and 47, respectively.

Kameron Collier medaled for Prescott in the girls' competition. Ginny Higginbotham led Lake Hamilton with a 56.

"We were just glad to get to play nine holes with the weather forecast as bad as it was today," said Brandi Higginbotham.

Lake Hamilton is scheduled to host Fountain Lake at Glenwood on Tuesday.
