HOT SPRINGS VILLAGE -- Richard "Dick" Goodwin Harrison, age 73, of Hot Springs Village, passed away from his battle with Alzheimer's and entered into his eternal life on Wednesday, Sept. 5, 2018. Dick was known by his family as "Pappa Boo."
He was born May 24, 1945, in Stockton, Calif., the son of the late Bruce and Ardith Goodwin Harrison.
Dick was the owner/partner of Harrison's Auto Electric from 1970 until his retirement in 2008. His hobbies were auto racing, fishing and sailing for many years. He was always involved in one or the other.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 48 years, Gail Harrison; and his two daughters, Rebecca (Somara) Sem, of California, and Kimberly (Shane) Buss, of Hot Springs Village; two grandsons, Brayden and Cooper Buss; dear brother to David (Joy), Joel (Barbara) and Ted (Lori) Harrison; and many friends and extended family.
Services will be held in California and no service will be held locally.
In lieu of flowers, donations are requested in Dick's name to The Caring Place, 101 Quapaw Ave,, Hot Springs, AR 71901. A special thanks to The Caring Place and Dierksen Hospice for providing comfort during Dick's illness.
