The Garland County Fair kicked off on Sept. 7 and is set to run through today at the Garland County Fairgrounds, 4831 Malvern Ave.
Today's schedule
• 9-9:30 a.m. -- Kids Cookie Contest check-in.
• 9:30 a.m. -- Kids Cookie Contest judging.
• 10 a.m.-10 p.m. -- Creative Arts and Horticulture buildings open.
• 10 a.m.-10 p.m. -- Poultry and Rabbit Building open.
• Noon-10 p.m. -- Commercial exhibits open.
• Noon-4 p.m. -- Carnival ride matinee, $1.50 per ride.
• 12:45 p.m. -- Turning Points in American History essay, photography contest winners announced.
• 1:30 p.m. -- Rodeo pageant.
• 2-4 p.m. -- Bingo, Building 2. No charge to play.
• 6 p.m. -- Carnival rides open.
• 6:30 p.m. -- Gospel concert in Building 2, The Garrett Sisters.
• 7:30 p.m. -- Rodeo.
