HOT SPRINGS VILLAGE -- Holy Trinity Episcopal Church will host the Quapaw String Quartet in concert at 3 p.m. Sunday. The program is free and open to the public.

The Quapaw String Quartet was founded in 1980, the first of two resident string quartets of the Arkansas Symphony Orchestra. Traveling throughout Arkansas, they have provided musical and educational entertainment to thousands of music-lovers each year. From school programs to full-length recitals, the Quapaw String Quartet has been called an Arkansas treasure, a news release said.

The program includes Joseph Haydn's String Quartet in D Major Op64 No 5 ("The Lark"), Igor Stravinsky's "Three Pieces for String Quartet," and Robert Schumann's String Quartet in A Minor Op41.

Members are Meredith Maddox Hicks and Charlotte Crosmer, violin; Ryan Mooney, viola; and David Gerstein, principal cellist of the Arkansas Symphony Orchestra.

Holy Trinity Episcopal Church is located at 199 Barcelona Road in Hot Springs Village. Call 501-922-0299 for more information. A reception will follow in Sifford Hall.
