Hot Springs Elks Lodge 380 awarded $1,000 scholarships to six local high school senior students at a recognition ceremony at the lodge on April 3.
Each student informed the members of his or her expected area of collegiate study, and personal interests during the meeting.
Five students plan to attend medical, dental or law school and one plans to focus on a career in mathematics. Members raised money to fund the scholarships through charitable events and donations.
