SEPIA TONED: “Hot Springs’ Ostrich Farm 1900-53” is a watercolor by local artist Nina Louton who uses techniques with drawing and watercolors to get a special effect resembling antique photos.
Students can get out of the heat and into summer art classes in watercolor, beading or wirework at the Hot Springs Center, 210 Woodbine St.

Nina Louton and Lynn Harris will teach the classes.

Louton incorporates methods of shading and design and introduces sepia watercolor monotones in drawing during an eight-week session. Drawing skills are not necessary and all levels, from beginners to experienced artists, are welcome.
