Odie’s House of Blues, 3413 Central Ave., and Unknown Legends Artists present International Blues Challenge winner Zac Harmon at 9 p.m. today.

Harmon, a native of Jackson, Miss., grew up being influenced by the music on Farish Street, home to some of the greatest blues musicians to come out of that state.

Harmon’s early years included playing stints with ZZ Hill, Dorothy Moore and Sam Myers.

He taught guitar at age 16 to local youths, including Eddie Cotton, at the YMCA before leaving music to go to college.
