Bands line up to take part in weekend events

ROCK THE FIREWORKS: With a growing fan base and a sound that “shakes the soul and quakes the bones,” Altus Pocket is making a mark on the local music scene.

Altus Pocket, the hard rock band hailing from Hot Springs, will bring its full sound, strong vocals and stirring riffs at 6:30 p.m. Sunday, July 5, to the free public fireworks display on Lake Hamilton at the Highway 7 south causeway at Power Boats.

The fireworks display begins at dark.

LakePointe Church’s band will kick it off, then Crash Meadows will play, and in closing Altus Pocket.

The band is composed of Joshua Castleberry, vocals; James Collier and Jake Christensen, guitar; Devin Castle, bass; and Nathan Yates, drums.
