Jukebox comes alive at Pocket

Village Big Band to perform vintage music


BIG BAND FAVORITES: Maureen Morgan and Kenny McKay rehearse “The Man I Love,” “Tangerine,” “I’ll Never Smile Again,” and a duet, “Chattenooga Choo Choo,” they’ll sing at Sunday’s concert.
The Village Big Band, led by Bill Morgan, will appear at 3 p.m. Sunday when “the juke box comes alive” at the Hot Springs Pocket Theatre, 170 Ravine St., just off Park Avenue, at the intersection of Ramble and Ravine streets.

Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for students through grade 12. The appearance was made possible by local musicians Ray and Ruth Liebau.

“We’re excited about featuring some of our fine musicians who live in and around Hot Springs,” said Linda Rickel, chairwoman of the Pocket Theatre Production Committee, in a news release.
