State to maintain voting machines

The county will save some much-needed money, thanks to Arkansas’ Secretary of State Charlie Daniels and the Help America Vote Act.

In a June 16 letter to the Garland County Election Commission, Daniels said the state has entered into a statewide contract with Election Systems and Software to provide maintenance for voting machines until the 2012 elections.
