DIAMONDHEAD COMMUNITY - A Diamondhead man was found dead floating in Lake Catherine with an apparent gunshot wound to the upper leg Friday morning, Garland County Sheriff’s Lt. Rodney Neighbors said.

Shortly before 9:30 a.m., Diamondhead police responded to a call from a woman who reportedly had found a handgun and blood on her dock behind her residence at 218 Meadowcliff Drive, Neighbors said.

After police arrived they located the woman’s husband, Bruce Edwards, 58, in the lake by a neighboring dock at 220 Meadowcliff Drive.
