cooling centers

BENTON – Central Arkansas Development Council Senior Activity Centers in Clark, Hot Spring, Montgomery, Pike and Saline counties will serve as cooling shelters during regular business hours for anyone that needs a break from the heat.

In Clark County, Arkadelphia SAC, 1311 N. 10th St., is open 8 a.m.-4 p.m. weekdays. Call Cindy Rhodes, 870-246-9871, for information. Gurdon SAC, 410 E. Main St., is open from 8 a.m.-4 p.m. weekdays. Call Royce Ann Barbaree, 870-353-2095, for information.
