Five members of the Arkansas Army National Guard in Malvern have been recommended for commendations for their actions in assisting in a fatal car accident in Hot Springs on Sunday.

Staff Sgt. Shane Huneycutt, Sgt. James Rogers, Spc. Dane Tillery, Spc. Dominic Alexander and Pfc. James Peeples were escorting a weapons truck from training at Fort Chaffee on Sunday when they had to abruptly stop for an accident near the Hot Springs city limits.
