Christmas decorations set up in HS

A STAR IS PLACED: City employee Josh Elmore places a star atop a huge Christmas tree at Hill Wheatley Plaza on Wednesday with the aid of the Hot Springs Fire Department’s 105-foot platform truck.
It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas in downtown Hot Springs, as workers are busy installing hundreds of thousands of lights along Central Avenue.

Alternative workers from the Garland County Detention Center, and Job Corps volunteers on Monday began the three-week chore of erecting 22 animated Christmas trees on Arlington Lawn, a large tree in Hill Wheatley Plaza, and lights on the Exchange Street Parking Plaza and its associated water feature.

Arlington Lawn is at the north end of Bathhouse Row, across the street from the Arlington Resort Hotel & Spa.
