Dear editor:

Last week, someone “misplaced” a cute little white girl puppy. This was near the fire station in Point Cedar. I christened her “Firehouse Frieda.” I set Frieda up there at the fire station with food and water. I took my 2-year-old great-granddaughter down to play with Frieda about three different times. They had a great time; Frieda is such a playful pup.

Emma wanted her for her very own but alas, the family already has three dogs. Emma, Granny and I taped a sign on the firehouse wall saying “free puppy,” but after three days no one came calling. On Thursda...
