Absolutely hard to fathom, in a state where the average household income is about $12,000 below the national average and when unemployment nationwide is reaching a 24-year high, is that the lottery commission seems to be in a hypnotic trance by the lottery’s new director.

Is it not outrageous enough that his salary is $324,000 and now he wants to hire two of his “buddies” from South Carolina for $225,000 and his current secretary makes $105,000? All in all, we’re talking about $5.1 million for the lottery staff – money, money, money all high figures – outri...
