Hot Springs’ Christon to play in Saturday’s WNBA All-Star Game

NEW YORK – Former Hot Springs High and Arkansas star Shameka Christon was chosen as a reserve in the WNBA All-Star Game, the WNBA announced Monday.

Christon, currently with the New York Liberty, scored a career-high 32 points to help the Liberty defeat the Atlanta Dream 89-86 Sunday in New York. She will play for the Eastern Conference.

The WNBA All-Star Game is Saturday in Connecticut.

Diana Taurasi will be playing in the WNBA All-Star Game after being chosen as a reserve by the league.
