James C. Hope, 87, of Hot Springs, died Monday, June 29, 2009.

Born Nov. 28, 1921, in Russellville, to Henry and Mae Hope, he was a veteran of World War II, member of the 236th Engineers B Co., 32nd degree Mason, retired from the National Park Service and worked as a bus driver for Fountain Lake School District. He was predeceased by his wife of 56 years, Dorothy Welchman Hope; one sister, Ruby Neighbors; and one brother, Clyde Hope.
