Ronald (Ron) Vaughn Blankenship, Sr., 63, of Hot Springs, Ark., passed away July 16, 2009 at St. Joseph’s Mercy Hospital. He was born Aug. 21, 1945, in Clebit, Okla. Ron grew up in Bunkie, La. He served his country in the U.S. Air Force from 1967 to 1971 when he returned to college and graduated from LSU in 1972. He lived his adult professional life in Pineville, La., retiring from Central Louisiana Electric, Co in 2001. He was an avid Fighting Tigers fan and a Cajun at heart. His greatest joy was cooking for his buddies and his dog Pepper.
