MALVERN – Stephen D. Hedges, 80, of Malvern, died Saturday, July 18, 2009, at home.

Born March 29, 1929, in South Hampton, N.Y., to William S. and Susan Depew Hedges, he was a 1948 graduate of Malvern High School, farmer and rancher, owned a topsoil and clay gravel operation and was a member of Arkansas Cattlemen’s Association. He was predeceased by one sister, Jane Crowell, and one brother, John D. Hedges.
