GURDON – Billy Wayne McArty, 60, of Gurdon, died Monday, July 20, 2009, at home.

Born May 31, 1949, in Shiloh Community, to William Thomas and Willie Guy Smith McArty, he was a heavy equipment operator and attended Shady Grove Baptist Church, Curtis. He was predeceased by one sister, Alice Pearl Lookadoo.

Survivors include two children, Marlinda Francis and William Wayne McArty, both of Arkadelphia; one brother, Elmer McArty, of Gurdon; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
