Loving husband, father and grandfather, Charles Richard “Peanut” Ashcraft, 78, of Hot Springs, Ark., went home to be with the Lord he so greatly loved on Thursday, July 23, 2009.
He was born March 10, 1931, in DeWitt, Ark., to the late Ross and Helen (Knowlton) Ashcraft. He served with the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. He was associated with Riceland Foods in Stuttgart and Helena, Ark., before moving to New Orleans, La. While there, he was associated with the Inland and Off Shore Marine industry.
