MOUNT IDA – Robert Sam Hall, 89, of Mount Ida, died Thursday, July 23, 2009.

Born May 21, 1920, in Glenwood, to Joe Ed and Jessie Austin Hall, he served in the U.S. Army and worked as a lineman for Arkansas Power & Light. He was predeceased by his wife of 53 years, Helen Hamilton Hall; one brother, Walter “Skeeter” Hall; and one sister, Willie Corrington.

Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Mary and Gary Baber, of Marshall, N.C.; two grandchildren, Melissa Brooks and Scott Baber; and four great-grandchildren.
