Mildred Irene Cheek Martin, of Hot Springs, died on July 24, 2009, at St. Joseph’s Hospital.

She was born Sept. 15, 1921, in Sulphur Township, outside of Hot Springs, Ark., to Cedric and Stella Johnson. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Woodrow Dean Martin; her daughter, Joy Alice Cheek France; a son, Douglas Glen Cheek; her daughter-in-law, Christy Martin; two brothers, Earl Johnson and Merle Johnson; and a sister, Madge Tankersley.
