Dorothee L.C. Griffin

Dorothee Lavenia Chaney Griffin, 96, of Hot Springs, formerly of El Dorado, died Oct. 31, 2009, at home with family. She was born Sept. 29, 1913, in Chaneyville, Union County, Ark., to William Alexander and Martha Ann “Patty” Graves Chaney. She grew up in Lawson, Ark., the eldest of five children. She is predeceased by her husband, Maurice A. Griffin, to whom she was married 67 years at the time of his death in January 2001, and by a sister, Odie Lee Talley.
