John O. Qualls, 88, of Hot Springs, died Wednesday, Nov. 4, 2009.

Born Jan. 24, 1921, in Story, to Dewey and Nellie Reed Qualls, he was a member of First Church of the Nazarene, self-employed electrician and a Hot Springs firefighter. He was predeceased by his wife, Jewel Dean Qualls, and one sister, Dola Kelly.
