DEAR ABBY: In the beginning of our marriage there was physical abuse and marital rape. I stayed anyway. Over the years we had two children. My husband, "Seth," and I don't communicate because he has refused to talk about any issues we have. During the last few years, my youngest son has also become physically abusive to me.

About bird count

Garland County Audubon Society will meet at 7 p.m. Thursday at Westminster Presbyterian Church, 3819 Central Ave. The public is welcome. Shelley Todd, Hot Springs National Park natural resources manager, will share the results of the Hot Springs National Park Christmas bird count, including a display of bird species, count per species, comparison of previous years counts and unusual species sited.
