More than 500 people who attended the Fourth of July Freedom Rally at the Garland County Court House signed registration cards and took part in honoring the nation’s founding fathers and the documents that helped forge America, according to information provided to the newspaper by one of the rally organizers.

The purpose of the event was to “bring people together and give them the opportunity to get active in restoring America to its constitutional core,” Diane Silverman, rally co-chairman, said in a press release.
