First Step Inc.’s Lowder touted

FIRST AND FOREMOST: Karen Lowder recently received the 2009 National Professional Award for her work as coordinator of First Step Inc.’s supported employment program. Lowder was recognized on Monday during a reception given in her honor by First Step staff members.

Karen Lowder, coordinator of First Step Inc.’s Supported Employment Program, has received the 2009 National Professional Award from the Association of Persons in Supported Employment.

She was one of seven finalists and was honored during the recent APSE meeting in Milwaukee.
