Hopeful contestants from throughout the state will answer the roll call today, their first duty as the annual Miss Arkansas Pageant week begins in the Spa City.

Shortly after, their official arrival kicks off activities and every two minutes a contestant will be introduced and make her entrance on the red carpet at 2 p.m. today at the front staircase of the Arlington Resort Hotel & Spa. Everyone is welcome to attend this free event where the reigning Miss Arkansas Ashlen Batson greets the 45 contestants and poses with them for their official group photograph.
