Fewer than 1,500 Entergy customers remain without power

Hot Springs Memorial Field and the Bill Edwards Financial Services Center were without power most of the day Friday following a severe thunderstorm that swept through the area Thursday afternoon.

Terry Payne, the city’s public information director, said navigational aid equipment at the airport was knocked out of service, but quickly restored.
