Airport power restoredThursday storm also damaged one hangar’s roof
Electric power was restored to Hot Springs Memorial Field around 4:45 p.m. Friday after Thursday afternoon’s severe thunderstorms, but one damaged hangar still needs half a roof.
“Hangar A-4, on the northeast corner of the airport, suffered wind damage last year and we replaced about half the roof last May,” George Downie, airport director, said Friday. “The half we didn’t replace blew off Thursday.” The hangar is leased by Airborne Flying Service.
