Of the 45 contestants who competed in the Miss Arkansas Pageant last week at Summit Arena, the following contestants were honored with scholarships and awards for their achievements:

• Miss Arkansas 2009 Sarah Slocum received a $20,000 scholarship provided by Ted and Shannon Boy Skokos (Miss Arkansas 1992) and $50,000 in awards, wardrobe, transportation and gifts. Slocum garnered the highest points for her interview with the judges to receive the Paul Peek Overall Interview Award of $1,500.
