The second half of Oaklawn Park’s commitment to give back to the community after it approved expanded electronic gaming in 2005 finally came to fruition Monday, with the grand opening of Oaklawn Senior Health Care Center.

“This is something that has been the dream of ours for four years,” said Darrell Meyer, president of the Oaklawn Foundation Board of Directors. The foundation was formed to oversee creation of the center and the distribution of scholarship funds.
