Owner of mobile home village finds savings with recycling center


GONE GREEN: Gary Strakshus, who owns and operates Brundage Woods Mobile Home Village, puts plastics in the appropriate bin at the recycling center located on the village property on Wednesday. Strakshus recently added the center, where he asks his tenants to drop off their recyclables.
Hot Springs resident Gary Strakshus has gone green with his area business.

The owner of Brundage Woods Mobile Home Village, 668 Amity Road, Strakshus has built a recycling center on the property where tenants are asked to drop off their aluminum cans, No. 1 and No. 2 plastics, corrugated cardboard, telephone books and newspaper in the appropriate bins. He then hauls off the recyclables about twice a month to the Garland Country Transfer Station on Airport Road.
