Prosecutors withdrew a felony kidnapping charge against a local man accused of snatching a woman’s 2-year-old daughter June 11 because the woman did not want to pursue the charge.

Benjamin Mickey Pitts, 19, who was arrested moments after the incident, was facing up to life in prison if convicted on the charge, but the victim refused to cooperate, Donahue said Wednesday.
