After months of contract extensions, the Hot Springs Board of Directors on Tuesday will consider awarding a new contract for emergency medical services to LifeNet Inc.

The board will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday in City Hall, 133 Convention Blvd.

Two EMS providers, LifeNet and American Medical Response, an out-of-state company, responded to the city’s requests for proposals late last year, but both proposals were rejected after AMR alleged that LifeNet did not properly respond to the RFP, and a new bidding process began.
