Two area residents were fatality wounded by gunshots Saturday.

Garland County Sheriff’s Department Lt. James Martin said deputies were called to a suicide at 136 Ellis Court at 9:06 a.m., where they found Stormy Muldoon, 53, dead from a single gunshot wound.

Deputies also responded to an accidental shooting at 12:30 p.m. at 157 Murphys Terrace.

Richard Burgett, 50, was found dead from a single gunshot wound to the chest.

Martin said evidence at the scene suggested Burgett was cleaning his gun when a round discharged and hit him in the chest.
