Ten Hot Spring County communities have earned national recognition for wildfire preparedness.

The communities of Bismarck, Oak Grove, Oak Bower, Lambert-Marcus, Caney, Social Hill, Antioch, Saginaw, Rockport and Mount Willow will be recognized as Firewise Communities/USA sites by the national Firewise Communities program for their effort to reduce the vulnerability of homes and landscapes to wildfire, according to a news release.

They will be recognized Monday at the Malvern 4H Center.
