It was a deliciously sweet event for a serious community need.

The sixth annual Charitable Christian Medical Clinic Chocolate Festival held in the Embassy Suites Hotel here Sunday raised money for the clinic’s charitable medical outreach to area residents unable to pay for medical care.

For $10, festival-goers, who lined up in droves, could indulge in a plethora of chocolate goodies and confections.

“Plan on the sweetest, most delicious Sunday imaginable,” the festival’s advertisement brochure said temptingly.
