The Garland County Environmental Services and Finance committees will hold a joint special meeting at 6 p.m. Monday to consider an Arkansas Department of Parks and Tourism grant application.

The grant funds would be used to provide programs and maintain or fund improvements at Cedar Glades Park.

According to county information, the state grant would enable the county to re-route portions of the Cedar Glades Park biking trail to ensure cyclist safety. A county memorandum states that “safety is the main issue” in re-routing the cycling trail.
