Lakeside, playing at home, managed only two hits while giving up 10 and flirted with late-game defensive disaster Monday night before nipping Benton Everett GMC 4-3 in the Class AA American Legion Rams’ final regular-season game.

“I don’t know what all to say about this game,” Lakeside coach Rob Vessell said after his team’s last game before the Zone 4 tournament on its home field Friday.
