Shane Higgins lined a pair of run-scoring doubles and pitched a two-hit complete game as South Clark County clinched a berth in the state tournament, and denied one to Lake Hamilton, with a 7-2 win over Hot Springs Village on Monday night in the American Legion Zone 4 Tournament at Lakeside.

South Clark plays Monticello at 5 p.m. today in the semifinal game, with the winner playing Hot Springs Village for championship and top state-tournament seed at 8. The loser of the first game gets Zone 4’s third seed in the state tournament, beginning Friday at Sheridan.
