Rally sends SCC to Legion final

Shane Higgins pitched three innings of relief to help South Clark County reach the championship game of the American Legion Zone 4 tournament Tuesday, defeating Monticello 9-4 at Lakeside.

South Clark County, the zone’s No. 1 seed, played Hot Springs Village in the championship game Tuesday night for the top seed in this weekend’s Class AA state tournament at Sheridan. Monticello is Zone 4’s No. 3 seed in the double-elimination event, won the last two years by Lakeside.
