The first steps have been taken toward solving the Arkansas Activities Association’s Great Dilemma.

They were baby steps, per Lake Hamilton athletic director John Utley.

ADs and principals from Class 7A and 6A met with AAA executive director Lance Taylor on July 8 to “kick around” ideas for a football playoff format for 2010, when the state’s largest two high-school sports classifications will merge for regular-season play but divide again for the postseason.
